his station is set up like an aisle in a grocery store. Here students can learn work skills of stocking shelves and organizing cans or fruit goods by on what goes together. In addition to this, students are taught life skills from this station. For example, they are taught how to tell the difference between good fruit and older, rotten fruit. Ripe, yellow bananas are brought in to contrast against soft, rotting brown bananas as a way to show students what to look for when they are hopefully one day shopping for themselves. This is a lesson that prepares students to be more independent for the future.
